Decode the codes is an OpenIDEO winning concept in the Vibrant Cities design challenge. This project is about enabling entrepreneurs to help make their cities more vibrant places to live. It involves connecting citizens with the people and information they need to get projects in run down or vacant areas kickstarted by making city codes easy to access and understandable.
The prototype system combines placing signage at potential project sites with an intuitive web manual connected through a smartphone app giving entrepreneurs all the tools they need to get their ideas rolling. The project was designed and prototyped with Micheal McDearmon and in collaboration with the openIDEO community. More information on the entry and the inspiration/ collaboration can be found HERE.
